I have a serious feeling that our defence counsels have fallen prey to a fatal illness called "Retrogradation."
How else do you explain the defence counsel Mr. A.P. Singh's contention in Nirbhaya case wherein he blatantly commented, "I would have burned my daughter alive had she moved around with her boyfriend in the night..."
Or for that matter, the ever controversial defence counsel in Asaram case, Mr. Ram Jethmalani saying with all impudence , "The girl has disease that draws her to men..."
Oh, come on! Being defence lawyers doesn't mean that you talk nonsense!
With such diseased sons of soil, I wonder if it is the same India that talks vociferously of Women's Rights & Education!
