Shashi Tharoor. A rare combination of intelligent mind and a dashing personality. A regular writer for a national Indian Daily. Also a man who was India's candidate for UN Secretary General post. With all this and more, it is difficult to believe that his career took such a downhill turn. Or is it that something else is chalked out for him?
One thing is certain ! He let down his constituency. I am sure the people of Thiruvananthpuram must be feeling very bad. And that is what Shashi Tharoor should have thought of before coming to India. Me thinks, he finally lost interest and hence deliberately got entangled in one controversy or the other. It is really sad that a man so good, failed to contribute in the development of the country.
All intelligent men have a streak of eccentricity. And that, I think, is the only logical answer.
