Mumbai Book Launch

Undoubtedly, Shiv Sena's behaviour regarding blackening Shri Sudheendra Kulkarni's face is shameful and unworthy.
But I, who represents the common man of India is confused with the stand adopted by the intelligentsia such as Shri Sudheendra Kulkarni, Dileep Padgaonkar and others regarding the launch of a book written by a person not from our country. I am thoroughly confused! Was this discussed at the Central Government level? Because, just a few days ago Mrs. Sushma Swaraj had made India's stand very clear in her speech at the UN,"Talks and terror don't go together...",she had said.
I have nothing personal against the neighbouring Ex Foreign Minister. Certainly he is a respectable man. But should we dump our own Minister for the sake of another country's Minister?
Since when did our great journalists, opinion leaders and rhetoricians become towering figures over our elected leaders. Truly, I am confused.
India is a democratic country alright. But does it give power to countrymen to take national decisions at the blink of the eye?
Tch, Tch... Indians have sure given a chance to UN and others to ignore our national leaders and invite people who will their wag tails for anything!
